Daryl FriedmanMy guest today is Daryl Friedman, who’s the chief government and member relations officer for the Recording Academy. There are some major copyright and royalty issues facing artists and songwriters these days, and Daryl and his team lobby members of congress on our behalf, which many in the music community aren’t aware of.

Daryl and I spoke about the recent District Advocate Day where Recording Academy members went to meet their local members of Congress in all 50 states, and we discussed some of the proposed bills that can be very helpful to artists and songwriters in the future.

On the intro I’ll talk about the proposed small claims court just for copyright infringement, and how mixed reality audio will be part of our future soon.
